Mercedes-Benz integrates Siri

The worlds best voice recognizing system and smart sense integrated voice command responder ”Siri” now takes turn to Mercedes. This sounds strange but this is really good if one thinks about it. You always wondered having a James Bond car working in action responding as what ever you ask from it, well the integration of siri with Mercedes is a little level of your car action. Since it would help the drivers to write the messages or call while driving. Even if you want to make some tweet or put a Facebook status its a wonderful idea to use the siri. The integration of the siri with the Mercedes is right now stated to the Class A but it is expected that the later classes will get this update of siri eventually. Now its cool and good for you that you can change your radio, music, navigate through maps, ask siri to close the radio or who knows they might give some extra cool functions like turn on/off head lights or vipers or even locking your doors. One should think that it is really a very positive use of siri as this would avoid you from listening calls or sending text messages while driving as you could easily be accessible to these all things now by just one voice command. It surely is one step closer to the future cars.

Volvo with pedestrian AirBags

Volvo always being one step ahead safety planning to introduce some new cars in 2013 with the pedestrians safety marked important. Thinking out of the box Volvo is keen to make air-bags even for the pedestrians as well. Now this looks promising, all what happens is that whenever there is any person at alarmingly front of the car the sensors which are adjusted in the front grill sends message to the driver and a beep starts in the car to alert driver to apply brakes. If still the driver is unable to stop the car, the car will automatically apply the brakes and what if it all happens at a very sudden that there is no chance for the driver nor the car. Still at this condition right after the impact of anything on the bumper or hood, the car will deploys air-bags from the front screen (deploying of air bags is from the space between the bonnet and the wind screen) covering one third of the impact.  So this kind of technology can be a good news in accordance of safety for both drivers and pedestrians in the futures. According to the company Volvo V40 would be the first car to have such technology.

Top super cars of 2012

SSC Ultimate Aero: 257 mph

No one needs the definition for the Ultimate champion of the three consecutive years, if you remember it’s the same SSC Ultimate which held the record to be the world’s fastest car from 2007 to 2010 and that is even verified by no less than Guinness, it is perhaps one of the boldest automotive creations ever made. Its rebirth of SSC Ultimate Aero which is fundamentally a customized edition of the Aero, displacement of this same Chevrolet engine was augmented to 6.3 liters and supercharger boost was enhanced to 14 psi.
The consequences were simply incredible; almost 1200 horsepower and more than 1100 Newton meters of torque. Subsequent modifications such as twin-turbo and a new engine block, has allowed the output of the Ultimate Aero to increase even further. In 2009, the output was rated at 1287 horsepower, easily the world’s most powerful car engine.

Lamborghini concept car

Lamborghini has always been vigilant of what they have been producing and its a fact that when we talk about cars,we term Lamborghini as an extra ordinary elite brand of cars. So talking about the Lamborghini, Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini was the founder of this car industry and on his name, the wildest and hottest cars of the universe came to existense. Fans always term Lamborghini cars to be from another world, a world where perfection and style is the main consideration when building a car. Every car and their manufacturer have a particular catchy point for selling their cars, same is the case for Lamborghini cars. The design, the shape the engine, its all a separate story in case of Lamborghini. The bold angular lines, the sparkling lights and the highly aerodynamic design make up for a great car, not the mention the beast of an engine under the hood which every lamborghini has.
We caught up with this new and amazing concept car that Lamborghini has unveiled. The unique thing about this wild beast is that it looks aggressive and sharply aerodynamic due to its pointed shape and ultra class body. Since its a concept, the car has been named upon the founder of Lamborghini, “Ferruccio” being the name given to it, yes! its always the founder who gets the honour! So this smart car includes some high spec concept inventory with the one beast  of a 5-liter V-12 with twin turborchargers and along with them there are computer controlled pneumatic valves. The Pneumatic valves will help cut down the fuel consumption for which all sports cars are notorious for. Hence, these two technologies will go towards a more greener world as it will be saving fuel while reducing emissions. This might be the future where Lamborghini lies. Check out the concept pictures that have come to the media so far:

Dutch flying car

We have entered the era where the cars will be having wings as well. So now you can lift your wheels up in air when ever you want to. Terrafugia was a recent talk in town, as the developer struggled quite hard to make that flying car legal on ground and air as well. But we spotted a Dutchmen flying car a few days ago as well. PAL-V is the name of the company and the same name was given to its flying machine.  Now whats good and different about this flying automotive is that, its not an ordinary car but its a sports car! Since it hits a speed of 112mph on air and ground as well, with a sub 8 second 0-60mph time. The company has been very successful in attaining the permits and licences of it in different countries. For residents of Europe, they will just have to show a recreational or private plane licence to fly it and for riding this car on road all they will have to possess is their old legal licence. Talking about the functionality of PAL-V, while on road it looks like a motorcycle and when you are ready for it to take off, you just take it on a small runway and stretch of the M1, on doing this the propellers and the rotor come out and there you are ready to take it off.
Company is looking forward for the investors so that they can launch this reality for public till 2014. We are waiting to fly this road buster!

Unusual bicycles

Bicycles are daily vehicles for many people. For some of them, it is a sport. And for the rest, it is a fun.
It is hard to find out who invented bicycle. After a search, I ended with two names that are somewhere in the beginning of history.
In 1418, Giovanni Fontana, built the first human powered land vehicle based on four wheels and used an endless rope connected via gears to the wheels.
And Leonardo da Vinci, sketches from the year 1493, showing a primitive version of a bicycle.
Anyway, today the construction and material of bikes are so different and automated that even the inventors would not recognize that it is a bike.
But one thing remains the same. You have to learn to ride the bike;)
“The bicycle is a curious vehicle. Its passenger is its engine.”

Incredible Personal Helicopter

A Personal Helicopter is something what cannot afford to own everybody. In most cases such property own rich people like actors or business men only. But German company E-Volo came with a new prototype of multicopter powered by sixteen propellers that should fill the gap of an affordable flying transportation device. The weight of this helicopter is 80 kg including lithium batteries and can fly 10 to 30 minutes. Limiting factor is the capacity of the battery, so the development in this area will bring longer flights and forward evolution.

Marvelous Gaddafi’s Private Plane

The forces opposed to Muammar Gaddafi have seized the former Libyan leader’s private plane at Tripoli’s international airport. A look inside the jet shows the scale of luxury that Gaddafi lavished on himself and those close to him.The Airbus A340 plane cost Gaddafi around £73million in 2003. When used as a passenger jet the A340 can carry up to 375 people, but Gaddafi’s plane was definitely not set up for that number.
A look inside Gaddafi’s private plane gives us a glimpse of the lavish lifestyle to which he was accustomed. Here a Libyan rebel fighter takes a break in the leather seats of the plane. The Arabic words read as “Be thankful and we give you more”.
Two more fighters pose for pictures inside Gaddafi’s private A340 plane. The Airbus jet has four engines and its wide body has been fully utilised by Gaddafi.

The Jet-Powered 320-mph School Bus

In the grand scheme of things, I have been on this Earth for an eyeblink. I was born 30 years ago, which gives me about two and a half decades of useful, retrievable memories. Most of them are pretty normal; some of them are downright weird. All of them pale in comparison with this pile of nutso.
Say hello to the jet-powered, 320-mph school bus.
According to CBS News, what we have here is pretty simple: 42,000 horsepower; 21,000 pounds of thrust; the engine from an F4 fighter; flame paint. Flame paint, people. On a school bus that spits flame. Because, you know, why not?

Amazing looking cars that never got made

There have been thousands of concepts over the years, some of which have offered us a preview of a production model. In many cases, however, the concept never reached production; it ended its days gathering dust in some warehouse. That’s not necessarily such a bad thing of course; if all concepts reached production, we’d be saddled with the horrific Lagonda SUV unveiled in 2009. But not all concepts are so badly misjudged. There have been dozens over the years that have deserved to succeed. Cars with cutting-edge technology, great looks – or both.

Here we present some of the greatest concepts of the past three decades, most of which still look great. So now we’ve shown you ours, make sure you show us yours; tell us which concepts you think should have reached the showroom.
