Fiat is made a seven-seat MPV called the Freemont which is based on the Dodge Journey. It it first benefit from cooperation between the Italian company and the Chrysler group. The Fiat Freemont will be built in Chrysler’s Toluca plant, Mexico, and will go on sale in Europe during the second half of 2011. At the beggining of the sale, Freemont will be available with a 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine with either 138 or 168bhp and front-wheel drive. Later a 4×4 version will be powered by the diesel with a 272bhp 3.6-litre petrol V6.
