Dutch flying car

We have entered the era where the cars will be having wings as well. So now you can lift your wheels up in air when ever you want to. Terrafugia was a recent talk in town, as the developer struggled quite hard to make that flying car legal on ground and air as well. But we spotted a Dutchmen flying car a few days ago as well. PAL-V is the name of the company and the same name was given to its flying machine.  Now whats good and different about this flying automotive is that, its not an ordinary car but its a sports car! Since it hits a speed of 112mph on air and ground as well, with a sub 8 second 0-60mph time. The company has been very successful in attaining the permits and licences of it in different countries. For residents of Europe, they will just have to show a recreational or private plane licence to fly it and for riding this car on road all they will have to possess is their old legal licence. Talking about the functionality of PAL-V, while on road it looks like a motorcycle and when you are ready for it to take off, you just take it on a small runway and stretch of the M1, on doing this the propellers and the rotor come out and there you are ready to take it off.
Company is looking forward for the investors so that they can launch this reality for public till 2014. We are waiting to fly this road buster!

Wonderful Akira Motorcycle

A fully fuctional Akira Motorcycle is now a reality as a person from Japan spent 10 million yen which are approx $121,000 to make this fully fuctional Akira bike. He spent 7 years in building this bike and yes now he is trolling his Akira at a road race on the land of rising sun. And to top it all, he is doing this to raise the money for charity.  Masashi Teshima, the anticipated builder of Akira Bike told that now its just one step away from Otomo’s official stamp of approval. The cross country rider is raising money for autism research and it will end in Tokyo. And after that it will be displayed in an “Art of Katsuhiro Otomo” Take a look at the gallery below.

Luxury and performance class automobiles

In the year 2011, the engineering of luxury and performance class automobiles sustained its present trend of “faster and smarter”.  Hybrid and electric technologies continue to work their way up to the six-figure circuit, while the internal combustion mainstays continue to shatter the 200 mph super car barrier.  From the stunning Aston Martin Rapide Luxe to the swift Mercedes SLS AMG, these ten cars correspond to the record sky high automotive developments of the year 2011.

 Maybach Landaulet: 135,000 USD

The Maybach Landaulet is one of the ideal illustrations of rank, lavishness, and superiority due to its unparalleled extraordinary appearance. It exhibits a Bi-turbo V12 engine, thicker front and rear stabilizers, AIRMATIC DC suspension, reprogrammed ESP, ASR stability, and traction control systems for smoother driving. The incredible robot fish

A robotic fish designed by UK scientists is the latest tool in the fight against water pollution. The robotic fish are designed to swim independently via wireless technology in seas, ocean, rivers and lakes to detect sources of pollution.
As part of a three-year research project funded by the European Commission and organized by BMT Group Ltd, an engineering and risk management consultancy, the carp-shaped robotic fish will be used to detect pollution in the port of Gijon in northern Spain.
Five of the robotic fish are currently being designed and built by Professor Huosheng Hu at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex.

International robot exhibition

A robots design and construction is evolving in so fast steps that it is sometimes unbelievable. A good example of evolution are robots presented at the International Robot Exhibition (IREX) at Tokyo Big Sight. If you missed the last one from November 2009, the next conference is scheduled for autumn 2011.

Unusual bicycles

Bicycles are daily vehicles for many people. For some of them, it is a sport. And for the rest, it is a fun.
It is hard to find out who invented bicycle. After a search, I ended with two names that are somewhere in the beginning of history.
In 1418, Giovanni Fontana, built the first human powered land vehicle based on four wheels and used an endless rope connected via gears to the wheels.
And Leonardo da Vinci, sketches from the year 1493, showing a primitive version of a bicycle.
Anyway, today the construction and material of bikes are so different and automated that even the inventors would not recognize that it is a bike.
But one thing remains the same. You have to learn to ride the bike;)
“The bicycle is a curious vehicle. Its passenger is its engine.”
